Bryan Adams is a Bruce Springsteen for blue collar workers. Perennially in love with rock & roll, on this mid-90s album he struts his stuff with an unselfconscious, schoolboy swagger. "I'll be 18 'til I die", the Canadian boasts on the title track--and this determination is soon made apparent on unsubtle tracks like "The Only Thing That Looks Good On Me Is You", the appallingly-titled "Your Underwear (I Wanna Be)" and "Black Pearl" (a paean to black women, crooned about in lazy stereotypes). The 12-bar boogie rules on this album--that is, when Adams isn't falling back on his Unique Selling Point, The Ballad, as on the epic "I Think About You".
